I'm very excited to bring you a story I began writing when I was thirteen years old. Yes, thirteen. The idea formed when my grandparents would take me to Bedford PA for the summers when I was a kid. Along the two hour drive to our family cabin, right along Route 31, sat the most foreboding gothic structure. I always fantasized about what creepiness occurred behind its walls, then I found out it was an actual state mental hospital for the criminally insane. That immediately switched my imagination into high gear (how could it not?)
What you're about to read isn't the writing of a thirteen year old, that's just when I had the idea and wrote a few notes. I wrote the actual story at the beginning of 2026 and finally finished it this past week.
